Steam Next Fest Oct 2026 has arrived and with it - there's multiple thousands of demos included. An event that has repeatedly grown, and it has become quite difficult to sift through the noise.

Going by the SteamDB event page, they show there's 7,164 demos included in the event! At least 1,054 of those appear to have an AI disclosure notice too - showing just how many developers (that actually properly disclose it) are using AI in some form now. I expect that number to continue growing quickly too.

As usual from GamingOnLinux, I've been going over demos anyway, so head over to our dedicated Demo tag to see anything I already thought was worth highlighting. I'll no doubt find more as I go over it during the event, so lookout for more dedicated indie highlights.

Here's a quick table of a few I think are likely worth your time:

Trailblazers: Into the March Dungeonbound Archrebel Tactics Geometry Rift: Apocalypse DERELIKT Handshakes: Hands On Surfpunk JOHN GLEEP Game is Full of Bugs Send In The Clown Half Grip Littlelands
